The Definition of a Traveller

The definition of a traveler can be loosely compared to the word vagabond. A vagabond is a wandering person that travels from place to place looking for work. So the definition of a traveler can also be loosely applied to describe someone who is on a temporary vacation and who travels from town to town looking for work. This could also apply to anyone who leaves their home country and travels to another. For instance, if you travel to New York and to London, you are a traveler even though you are not staying in either of these places.

traveler

Traveling has always been a popular profession among many individuals. Even before the age of modern travel writing, travel was an integral part of human life. In fact, travelling was one of the most valued activities of humans throughout history. For instance, the Bible describes many voyages and journeys as being necessary to further the expansion of humanity. In light of this definition, it would make sense to think of modern day travellers as pioneers of new ways to explore the world and meet new people.

Modern technology may have changed the way that people see the world but it hasn’t altered the fact that travelling is still very important. The definition of a traveler may be defined as someone who travels to take advantage of other’s adventures or to seek out knowledge of new cultures and other areas of interest. The role of the traveler in this society is often times misunderstood by people. For instance, it is commonly thought that a traveller is someone who boards a plane or boat and sets off on some exotic journey where they experience adventure and culture, but what many people fail to realize is that there are aesthetic purposes to travelling as well.
